In principio era il pennino, il cuore di ogni penna stilografica. È il pennino che trasforma la penna in uno “strumento” che mette l’inchiostro, e con lui i nostri pensieri, idee, sentimenti e preoccupazioni, sulla carta. Un tale cuore dovrebbe ricevere la massima cura – questo è almeno la nostra filosofia come produttore di penne stilografiche. Abbiamo pensato a lungo a come abbellire i nostri pennini senza sottoporli a processi che riducono la qualità. Una chiamata a JoWo ci ha finalmente messo sul sentiero dorato: un pennino stampato con il nostro proprio disegno! Perciò abbiamo fatto le valigie e siamo andati da JoWo a Berlino, dove abbiamo esplorato le possibilità in un incontro di tre ore. Infine, dopo una fruttuosa sessione di brainstorming con il CEO e la responsabile acquisti e vendite, abbiamo fissato nella pietra il design di base definitivo per il nostro pennino GIOIA. Sei settimane dopo, il design finale era pronto, così che potevamo finalmente commissionare la produzione.
Adesso che teniamo in mano il pennino prodotto per noi da JoWo, non potremmo essere più orgogliosi. Mille grazie, JoWo Berliner Schreibfeder GmbH!
In the beginning was the nib, the heart of every fountain pen. It is the nib that turns a pen into a “tool” that places ink, and with it our thoughts, ideas, feelings and worries, onto paper. Any such heart should receive the utmost care – that at least is our philosophy as a fountain pen manufacturer. We have thought long and hard about how to embellish our nibs while avoiding processes that reduce quality. One call to the widely known German nib manufacturer “JoWo Berliner Schreibfeder GmbH” and we were finally on the right track: customized embossing! So, we packed our bags and made our way to JoWo in Berlin, where we spent three hours exploring the options, and finally, after a fruitful brainstorming session with the CEO and Purchasing and Sales Manager, set the definitive basic design for our custom-embossed nib in stone. Six weeks later, the final design was ready (we took a bit longer than expected to decide about the type of the sun and the font of “Italia”) and we could finally commission production…
